I gravitated towards essential oils during the last month of my 2nd pregnancy because my fellow moms shared with me how they have been benefitting from earlier bed time for their kids, less stress, less dependence on over the counter medicines, and generally, overall well-being. So I researched about essential oils and decided to get myself a Young Living starter kit. I’ll talk about it another time.
For now, I want to share with you this amazing tiny device called the iTovi scanner.
The iTovi scanner combines bioimpedance, pressure sensor, temperature, and Bluetooth technologies to generate personalised wellness evaluations. iTovi has a database of unique frequencies as it relates to viopoints and the vitamins, minerals, and oils of each product company. Through the electrodes on the iTovi scanner, these frequencies are sent to the body. iTovi then measures the body’s reaction as exhibited through the skin.
Ugh. Too technical! (Click the photo above for more info.)
Anyway, I tried it, several times over the course of a few weeks, and the results are always spot on. It recommends oils that match your body’s needs. I’m sharing my results here!
Left scan was taken a month after giving birth, and it recommended, among others, Longevity, an oil for antioxidant support and youthful-looking skin. At the time, my skin was indeed super dry as an effect of childbirth. Second photo is my scan from last night. It recommends Ningxia Red (antioxidant drink), Thieves (for immune support), and Copaiba (for muscle relief) – all spot on as my body is under performing non-stop due to breastfeeding a newborn. (How could this tiny thing know that?! Amazingly accurate electric scanning. Cool.)
I wanna share an even more personal reading. My husband and I have been concerned about how our panganay would take the biggest change in his life so far. From a solo kid, he is transitioning into being a kuya. We are sure it’s not easy. The month before I gave birth he had hour-long tantrums. His preschool teacher also noticed changes. He wasn’t as talkative as before. He wanted more alone time. These days he is starting to adjust. He kisses his baby sister on the cheek. A lot. He reads to her and tells her about the Beauty and the Beast movie he saw.
I did an iTovi scan on him and his results? Oils from Young Living’s emotion support oils, Acceptance and Stress Away. Aww, our little kuya! We know it has been difficult so we have been extending our patience more, spending more time with him, and talking to him because we know his intelligent mind is processing things.
The iTovi Scanner is available in most events of The Oil Natural Project (TONP). They were at Mommy Mundo’s Mindful Mom Retreat earlier this month and gave free scans to participants.
This weekend, TONP will be at Booth 4, SM Megamall Megatrade Halls 1-2, until tomorrow, Sunday, 10 am to 10 pm. That’s right in front of the breastfeeding station. Get your free scans there, and ask TONP about how to try and get started on using essential oils.
Here is a tiny part of my oil tribe, Fofo, Joan, Tina, and Rachel.
